Such a fun game! Simple mechanics but very engaging.

I love how you switch to the tank’s view when shooting, it makes the game very immersive! Though it feels like you shoot way higher than you are looking. Maybe you could align the camera closer to tank’s barrel (it’s just a visual fix, since the meter on the left already does its job very well).

The beginnings feel a bit slow, maybe you could make it so all tanks have movement points but shooting points remain global. I think it will increase pacing of the game in a good way.

It took me some time to get used to the camera movement, I expected more traditional “dragging” controls, instead of clicking. I guess it’s not bad, just different!

It would be awesome if this game had LAN multiplayer! It’s probably not easy to implement, but I would take it as a perfect opportunity to practice network programming!

I also would love to play this game in single-player with some simple AI, maybe you could implement it as an additional exercise. Though I’m probably already asking too much, haha!

Those are my suggestions. Anyway, this game is staying on my hard-drive for some fun hotseat battles to come! ;-)

Thanks a lot for such a warm review!

Many people say that they find the bullet trajectory conflicting their expectations. Initially I had the trajectory drawn in the air, but that made shooting completely unchallenging. The gravity was also much stronger, meaning the bullet trajectory would be much more curved, but this destroyed the terrain tactics - there’s no point in hiding in a good place if someone can still hit you from above.

I tweaked the size of the map so that it forces the player to search for good hiding/shooting spots first. Guess this made the beginning of the game a little slow, as you’ve said.

I’d love the camera to be dragging-controlled as well, it’s just that I didn’t have time to do it properly.

Yep, multiplayer & AI would be awesome! Unfortunately, I’m not planning to add anything to the game, gonna concentrate on future projects. Your comments are immensely valuable still, thank you again!
